Come celebrate this exciting moment: the opening of a world-class place for poetry—a library, meeting place and locus of inspiration—that is free and open to the public. Please join us on Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26 for our public Grand Opening, featuring a housewarming, poetry readings and music by Natalie Merchant.

Meanwhile, we are settling into our new home and preparing for your arrival. Regular hours for the Poets House Library & Reading Room will begin Tuesday, September 29.

Invocation of the Muse: Poets & Musicians Toast the New Poets House
11am: Kurt Lamkin performs for children and their adults.
12pm: Open House! Take a stroll through our new home.
3pm: Readings by Billy Collins, Mark Doty, Cornelius Eady, Kathleen Fraser, Marie Howe, Galway Kinnell, Philip Levine, and Marie Ponsot, among others, and music by Natalie Merchant.
