7/4/11 Macy's 4th of July Fireworks: Gift of Freedom along the Hudson River

This year, the fireworks will be on the west side, along the Hudson River. If you want a good spot without buildings obstructing the view, you really need to GO EARLY! (That means 7:30 or before. With all the crowds, it took us about half an hour just to find a good spot around 34th Street.) Bring a chair or picnic blanket to claim your area on the sidewalk/road. Snacks and activities help the waiting time pass faster. Enjoy the show!
