New Americans Program & Queens Museum of Art present Fundamentals of Video (Program in Spanish)
Come and learn about video editing by creating your own works! Enrich your life by learning the basics of digital video editing and exploring the works of other masters with Filmmaker Juan Recamán. During this workshop you will be introduced to editing techniques and how to work with sound and graphics in order to convert your material into a finished piece; whether it is a music video, a documentary, or a piece of fiction: the endless possibilities are up to you.
Juan Recamán is a local artist and educator. His work explores the issues of migration and cultural diversity by observing our own idiosyncratic details. Recamán’s work has been exhibited in festivals and galleries in Germany, France, Bogotá and New York, and he has taught at Pratt Institute and College of Staten Island (CUNY).
No experience necessary. All materials provided.
