About Mane Kadang
Mané Kadang is guaranteed to set any stage on fire. Through a blend of flavors representing diverse nations and cultures, the Mané Kadang performers come together to create one family bound by their music and love of West African culture. Their performance comes alive with the sounds of traditional West African instruments like the balafon, the kora, the djembe drum, the doun doun drum, sorouba, sabar and bougarabou. Through Mané Kadang's infectious dance, drum and spirit, audiences are instantly transported to the troupe's beloved Africa.
Maguette Camara is the artistic director and founded the group in 1999. Mr. Camara is a recognized West African choreographer, musician and teacher who is based in New York City.
