The Metropolitan Museum of Art offers a variety of free programs for middle- and high-school students throughout the year. All classes ask students to be active participants in understanding and appreciating works of art, and to look and respond through discussion in the galleries or through the creation of their own works of art in the studio.
Are you interested in a career in the arts? Ever wonder what a conservator, photographer, exhibition designer, or curator does at an art museum? Join us for a panel discussion with museum professionals to learn about the behind-the-scenes workings of a museum and which paths you could take to work in the arts. Receive a new High School Pass for free admission to the Met for a full year and learn about all upcoming Teen Programs and internships at the Museum. Teen programs staff from other NYC museums will also be present to talk about their events. Come with your friends and enjoy the Museum until it closes at 9:00 p.m.!
The classes are free, but registration is required. Enrollment is limited. Please check website for registration information.
