After years of being closed to visitors, the public will finally be able to walk up to the Statue of Liberty’s crown. Reservations to access the crown (starting on July 4, 2009) may be made through the park’s concessioner website at www.statuecruises.com or by phone at 877-LADY-TIX (877-523-9849).
Until July 4, 2009 there is no access beyond the top of the statue’s pedestal.
To visit the museum gallery and pedestal observation levels you need a monument ticket.
Without a monument ticket you may only visit the grounds of Liberty Island. (Secondary screening on Liberty Island is required for those entering the monument).
“Monument Access” is available at no cost from the ferry company with the purchase of a ferry ticket using the Reserved Ticket AND selecting the Monument Access option.
During summer months and holiday periods it is recommend that you order tickets in advance and request a monument pass by calling the ferry company at: 1-877-LADY-TIX or on-line at: www.statuecruises.com
A limited number of Monument tickets are available from the ferry company each day on a first-come, first-served basis.
All ferry tickets include access to Liberty Island and the Ellis Island Immigration Museum.
