ART.WRITE.NOW.2011 features stunning examples of teen-produced work in the areas of film, photography, sculpture, poetry, painting, fashion, drawing, short stories, video game designs, and more. These talented teenagers, winners in the 2011 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, follow in the footsteps of Andy Warhol, Richard Avedon, Robert Redford, John Baldessari, Philip Pearlstein, Sylvia Plath, and Joyce Carol Oates, who all won Awards when they were in high school.

ART.WRITE.NOW. Atelier, featuring live art production in the World Financial Center's Winter Garden storefront by Scholastic Awards alums. The storefront becomes a studio space as some of NYC’s most talented emerging artists produce new works of art.

Celebrating a year of fabulous writing with Writopia Lab and Casita Maria!
Writopia teen writers won more 2011 Scholastic Writing Awards than any other group of kids in the country! Casita Maria, the Scholastic Awards NYC Regional Affiliate, is proud to invite all 2011 NYC Gold & Silver Key recipients to read from their work at this exciting event. Join us for an afternoon of readings from award-winning teen writers.

Talk & Tours from our National Programs staff will be available for school groups in one hour time slots from 12:00–4:00pm.

Girls Write Now writing workshop with Mary Roma, writing professor at NYU and Boricua College. Participants are asked to please bring something to write with. Please RSVP to Nora Gomez atngomez@artandwriting.org.
