In the midst of high summer, Mitsuwa Marketplace’s parking lot, on the Hudson River side, will transform into a Natsu Matsuri (Japanese Summer Festival). Over 15 booths will be on display, enhancing the festive mood. Exciting activities and booths include yoyo scooping, superball scooping, kick-goal, quoits, and o-men (Japanese masks). Food vendors offer cotton candy, curry rice, hayashi rice, gyoza (dumplings), iced green tea, grilled lobster, grilled scallops, okonomi-yaki (Japanese pancakes), yakisoba (pan-fried noodles), yakitori (chicken skewers), shaved ice and more.

Taiko drumming performances will be held every hour. The festival culminates with Bon Dance & Taiko Masala Drumming from 6 to 8pm. Parking is limited, so use the Mitsuwa Shuttle from NYC Port Authority or take the NJ Transit Bus #158 or 188.
