Join NYC Parks on Saturday, August 20 for the third annual FlyNY Kite Festival! Visitors can bring their own kites to fly on the pier or make a kite at the event. The Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum will lead kite-making workshops for kids, teens, and adults—materials supplied!
Tips on kite flying techniques will be available for beginners and connoisseurs alike from the American Kiteflyers Association.
Professional origami artists will teach participants how to fold paper ergonomically and live entertainment will set the setting for a breezy day on the Hudson River.
