On August 22nd and 23rd Art for Change will be holding its largest event of the year...Hacia Afuera!
Hacia Afuera is a public art festival in East Harlem-El Barrio. In recent years gentrification has become a reality for many of El Barrio's residents and thus Hacia Afuera is to be used as a vehicle to reclaim the public space be it a garden, a sidewalk, or walls in celebration of its cultural diversity.

This Year's Event Includes...
Performance by: Lily Vasquez, Ben Carroll, DJ Cut Bird, Cassanova Brown, Uptown Dance Academy, Los Sabrosos del Barrio and Erika Banks!
Activies for all Ages: An Interactive Paper Mural, Recycled Arts Workshop (bring your own shoe box or cereal box to work with!), Design and print your own t-shirt with artists Akiko Ichikawa and Tony Ingrisano, a Graffiti Demo, Yoga (Bring your own mat!), Arts and crafts tables for children, workshops led by the Children's Museum of the Arts, an Open Mic, a
Percussion Workshop, storytelling and a Belly Dancing Workshop!
Art Exhibitions Featuring: Adrian Roman, Roberto de Jesus, a Live Painting
by Manny Vega, Sarah Olson, Carlos Martinez, Heather O'Brien, Cacy Forgenie,
Louis Nieves, Ale Bara & China Yon, Alex White-Mazzarella , Tara Parsons,
