Books of Wonder is thrilled to announce our second POP-UP CELEBRATION this month for Saturday, November 20th. Please join us as we welcome six masterful creators of pop-up books.NY Times best-selling author, artist, and paper engineer ROBERT SABUDA will present Beauty and the Beast, a shimmering, magical edition of the beloved fairy tale that bursts to life in eye-popping stain-glass style illustrations. NY Timesbest-selling author, artist, and paper engineer MATTHEW VAN FLEET will introduce Heads, a marvelously playful and instructive look at the heads of many different animals—and a companion to his best-selling Tails. CHUCK FISCHER will share his inspired retelling of Charles Dickens’ classic holiday tale, A Christmas Carol, which he has brilliantly transformed into an enchanting pop-up. BRUCE FOSTER will bewitch us with Harry Potter: A Pop-Up Book, in which scenes from all eight Harry Potter movies are brought to life in exciting three-dimensional tableaux. SAM ITA will invite us into the world of Mary Shelley’s chilling classic in his fantastic Frankenstein: A Pop-Up Book, which combines three-dimensional illustrations with graphic novel styled storytelling. And PAMELA PEASE will delight us with her colorful look at Macy’s On Parade: A Pop-up Book and her thrilling presentation of the Pop-up Tour de France. Starting at noon, these six master pop-up creators will present their eye-catching and imagination-sparking creations, take questions from the audience, and sign all of their wonderful books.
