Books of Wonder is pleased to announce that this November we are hosting not one, but TWO Pop-up Celebrations! The first Pop-up Celebration will be on Sunday, November 7th and feature four of today’s most innovative pop-up and mechanical book creators: MATTHEW REINHART, DAVID A. CARTER, STEPHEN T. JOHNSON, and CHARISE MERICLE HARPER. All four of these artists and paper engineers will present their new pop-up books for this fall. MATTHEW REINHART will entertain us with DC Superheroes: The Ultimate Pop-Up Book, a super-powered and incredible book which highlights some of the most famous comic book heroes of all time—including Batman, Superman, and Green Lantern—in three-dimensional style. DAVID A. CARTER will share Oh! The Places You’ll Go, a pop-up edition of Dr. Seuss’s classic story. STEPHEN T. JOHNSON will introduce My Little Pink Princess Purse, an innovative book that includes everything a little princess needs for that big night at the ball, including a tiara, fan, scratch-and-sniff perfume, and more. CHARISE MERICLE HARPER will present Gigi in the Big City, a hands-on adventure with Gigi as she discovers all the skyscrapers, food, fashion, and fun the big city offers. Starting at 1pm, these four masterful pop-up creators will share their books with us, take questions from the audience, and sign all of their fantastic creations.
