Since the stunning debut of the Osmany Paredes Quartet at Jazz Standard’s New Dimensions in Latin Jazz series in 2007, the young group has been recognized as one of the outstanding participants in the new wave of progressive Afro-Cuban jazz in New York City. Fusing the traditions of European classical music, the vitality of jazz, and the sounds of Cuban popular music dating back to the 1920s, Paredes is an exciting talent with a vivid imagination. Sponsored by Target.
