About Battery Place Market
Battery Place Market is an interpretation of what ‘gourmet’ is today. Traceability and sustainability without sacrificing high-end quality, or sacrificing products that is inherently natural because they are made in the traditions which pre-date industrial food practices. It's a reflection of the Northeast's evolution towards its identity as a strong regional food resource, similar to what California has traditionally been. Battery Place Market perfectly pairs with the needs of our community and interprets what is relevant and find what the best of everything that is currently available.”
The LEED-certified market also serves hot breakfast sandwiches, frittatas and Spanish tortillas, as the back of the store has a bar with stools for those who want to linger and maybe have a second cup of great coffee that will rotate from one of the great roasts of either Stumptown or Coffee By Design. Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) is an internationally recognized green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies intended to improve performance in metrics such as energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts and developed by the U.S. Green Building Council.
