Join us for Peace Crane Day! In remembrance of the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and in collaboration with the Community Service Project aspect of Community Board 1’s Hand in Hand 9/11 event the Battery Park City Branch will host a special Peace Crane origami program.
Participants can write remembrances, thoughts, or poems on paper and learn how to transform the paper into origami cranes. This program is open to all ages and the Library will provide instruction and materials.
A special exhibition of cranes from our Peace Crane Project will be displayed during the month of September 2011.
