Under the direction of Carlota Santana, these magical dancers, singers, and musicians will celebrate flamenco in all its pride, passion, honor, love, and sorrow. Audience members are welcome to express themselves with opportunities to dance, clap, and even shout!
The fiery music and splendid pageantry of flamenco originated in Andalusia, a province in southern Spain, having evolved from the interactions of many cultures over several centuries. The unique interplay among Moors, Jews, Andalusians, and Gypsies has shaped this expressive and culturally-rich folkloric genre. Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana, founded in 1983, has continued to revel in the traditions of flamenco while bridging today's cultures throughout the world.
