Come between 11:00am and 6:00pm and take part in the festivities! Click here for a program of performances and activities.
Over the last fifteen years, the Ethnic Festival has brought together hundreds of community residents, professional artists and musicians, local business people and interested visitors to celebrate and promote the wide array of cultures in East Harlem including Mexican, Puerto Rican, South American, West African, Caribbean, Arabic and African-American populations.
Throughout the day, hundreds of people of all ages will come from within East Harlem and other neighborhoods around the city to enjoy entertaining performances that celebrate the ethnicity of this wonderful neighborhood, including Latin Pop, Mariachi, Salsa, R&B and West African dance. Union Settlement staff, community residents and volunteers from Goldman Sachs Community TeamWorks Program will lead a full range of children’s activities, including storytelling, face painting, arts and crafts, and visits by beloved figures such as Spiderman, SpongeBob Square Pants, and much more!
